Hybrid cars or hybrids are vehicles that use two different types of technology to power source. This usually refers to a car that has a conventional gasoline engine and a battery as a power source. One source of this energy may be the main power source and the other serves as a backup, or the vehicle may be using a source in a particular situation and use the other in different situations.

For most short trips, this allows the car to using only battery power. Many companies have also started to develop hybrid cars that use alternative energy sources, such as hybrid cars, hydrogen, with the hope of encouraging consumers to switch to more sustainable energy sources.
